DEF BY DISCO (electro rock band)
Def By Disco is an electronic band based in London (UK) formed in 2005 by Darc Marc (Dj and producer) & Jackie Misfit (Dj and vocalist). Def By Disco music style is a fusion of electronic with techno that uses rock elements both in performance and sound. The band experiments with different analogue and digital instruments trying to take electronic music more live and away from what is "matrix". Other influences in the music come from different pop genres of the past incorporated in "club" music. Def By Disco has grown since 2005 adopting new members to replace the sounds of some machines. On the drums, replacing the old 909 is Ed Railton with a deck incorporated in his electronic drum kit which he uses in live shows for his turntable wizardry. On the side Matteo is substituting uncle 303 using his bass guitar with a versatile pedal effect unit and dropping electro analogue percussions. Darc Marc is on Synths and vocals taking care of the mixing. Jackie Misfit is playing around with her voice using effects and she is also on the keyboards.

All of them together are what is Def by disco and they will be back to stage soon where they create a great energy and passion in their music. Up to now there is not such sound in the electronic music genre, Def By Disco has the ability to make what is old, novel. It uses minimal, electro, techno but still keeping the preciousness of music intended as our master ancestors of popular music and vibe. check those people out as they definately have something special there!!xx..
